Artist

My name is Aska Marzec. A distinctive part of my practice is my resin artwork, where layered translucent surfaces create a striking sense of depth. These pieces echo the fluidity of water and light, reflecting the ever-changing character of the Scottish islands.

Built through layers of texture and subtle detail, each painting invites quiet exploration, revealing something new with every return.

Resin artwork for luxury interiors and resin art tables are sold in the UK and in collections worldwide.

"My art is an invitation - to pause, to notice, to feel the rhythm of island life, and to recognise the extraordinary beauty in ordinary moments. Each painting is a window into not just what the landscape looks like, but what they feel like to inhabit, both physically and emotionally."  Aska Marzec

Neurodiversity –  acceptance, letting go and the state of flow.

I started to realise that my best pieces are created in a state of flow. Where I go out from my head and paint from the heart. Intuitively applying colour and marks, and being more open to the playfulness we lose at some stage of our lives. Building up layers…
